Where are the Taste’accio tastings located?
Taste’accio is located at via di Monte Testaccio 91/93, in the heart of the Testaccio neighborhood in Rome. The cave sits beneath Monte dei Cocci, a unique archaeological site formed by fragments of ancient Roman amphorae. Easily reachable by public transport (Metro B, Piramide stop).
How much does a tasting in Testaccio cost?
Taste’accio experiences start from €25 per person for “The Essence of Lazio” and go up to €75 for the “Master of the Board” workshop. All prices include the products and guided narrative described for each experience.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. All experiences must be booked at least 5 days in advance by emailing info@tasteaccio.it or calling +39 389 583 4072. Your booking is confirmed only after availability has been verified.
Are the tastings available in English?
Yes, all Taste’accio experiences are available in both Italian and English. For other languages, please contact us before booking and we will find the best solution together.
How many people can join a tasting?
Standard experiences accommodate up to 10 people. For larger groups, Taste’accio offers the option to customize the experience on request. Contact us directly to discuss your needs.
Is the experience suitable for guests with food intolerances?
Yes, but it is essential to communicate any intolerances, allergies or specific dietary requirements at the time of booking. The Taste’accio team will adapt the product selection to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
How cold is it inside the cave?
The cave maintains a constant temperature between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius year-round — ideal conditions for cheese aging, but cool for visitors. We recommend bringing a light extra layer.
Can I cancel my booking?
In case of cancellation, at least 24 hours notice is required. Please let us know as soon as possible by email or phone.
